OUR SERVICES
The Training Fund/JATC offers apprenticeship training for the following trades: carpenter, millwright, floor layer, latherer, pile driver, and cabinetmaker. An apprenticeship consists of classroom study, hands-on projects accomplished at the training center and the learning that takes place when working on the job with an experienced journeyperson. During his or her apprenticeship each student will receive training in safety and health, the basics skills, and the more advanced and technical aspects of his or her chosen trade. During the course of an apprenticeship the student will also earn a number of industry national qualifications.

The construction industry is constantly evolving with new materials and processes becoming standard practice. Because of this the Training Fund/JATC offers skill enhancement classes to our journeypersons year round, at no cost to the participants. We offer a wide range of enhancement classes for our members to acquire new skills or to refresh old ones.

In some areas of council, the Training Fund/JATC has on the job trainers that work directly with the apprentices at the jobsite. This is a new program that is made possible by the Carpenters International Training Fund's commitment to training.
