FLOOR LAYER
Floor layers are responsible for installing all types of flooring materials. This includes carpet, sheet vinyl, tile, wood and laminates, and even sports surfaces. Work is often done to specifications of architects, facility managers or interior designers. To be effective a floor layer must be good at estimating materials and understand pattern lay out. You might work on new or renovation work in commercial or institutional structures. If this type of work appeals to you, you might consider becoming a floor layer.
